Photography/Germany
Nils Müller from Germany is another outstanding photographer we are finally featuring on our blog.
Müller has specialized in documenting the process of painting subways, which is considered the top prize within the international graffiti world. Subways hold such a high value because of the difficulty, the danger and risk involved. Subway painting has separated itself from the common graffiti community as it is a more secretive sect of the elite who push the bar and have created something which can be likened to an extreme graffiti sport.
Razor wired fences have to be cut!
Regardless of the subway system or the country, razor wired fences have to be cut or climbed, motion sensors, cameras, and alarm systems have to be overcome and if something goes wrong, be ready to run.
Nils Müller has taken photos in European metropolises such as Paris, London, Berlin, Bucharest, Oslo and Milano but also documenting other international destinations like Bangkok, Shanghai, Caracas and New York City.
More photos from Nils Müller here and here
Enjoy!

REST IN PEACE
1984 – 2011
Ilona Tähkänen, a great friend of the Lowlife friends and family, sadly passed away last month. She was one of the first Lowlife models and remained a wonderful person for the years we knew her. It’s hard to belive that she’s gone at such a young age. We will carry you with us in our hearts and cherish the memories of you forever.
We will never forget you Ilona!

San Jose / California
Low Life Clothes and USA’s graffiti magazine CLOUT have teamed up to present the “City of Broken Dreams” t-shirt in both black and white. Printed in black, white, gray and graphite the detailed illustration depicts a layup in the backround with an elevated subway train snaking its way through a smoke filled city by way of tunnels nestled amongst contrasting facades. Passing by multi-windowed buildings, streetlamps and destroyed police cars, the subway train emerges in the forefront. Our first overseas collaboration, the “City of Broken Dreams” t-shirt is available in adult sizes S – 2X only on CLOUT’s online shop!

Based out of San Jose, California, CLOUT is the leading graffiti lifestyle magazine in the United States featuring street influenced art, fashion and music and the creative individuals behind those putting in work. Each issue is packed with full color photos and in-depth interviews with original and innovative artists and brands as well as features on must have consumer products and fashion. With the first issue printing in 2002, CLOUT continues to bring a unique and exclusive look at street influenced culture in print format.
